Flute Types

The arch is the strongest way to span a given space. These arches are known as "flutes", they resist bending and pressure from all directions. Flutes come in several standard shapes or flute profiles (A,B,C,E,F,etc...).

Various Flute Types

F-flute: Nominally 3/64" Thick

E-flute: Nominally 1/16" Thick

C-flute: Nominally 3/16" Thick

B-flute: Nominally 1/8" Thick

A-flute: Nominally 1/4" Thick
